Since 1972 MVG has been successfully developing, constructing and producing fixed, detachable and swivel-mounted towbars and electrical kits for cars, off-road and utility vehicles in OEM quality. Many years’ experience, reliability, flexibility and the outstanding product quality MVG towbars and electrical kits make MVG a reliable partner for the automobile industry and trade. In the development and construction of our towbars, MVG uses latest technology methods such as CAD and FEM (finite element method). Here the customer’s individual wishes and requirements like an unobtrusive and sophisticated design and the simple, quick and precision-fit assembly of the towbar on to the vehicle are taken into consideration. MVG towbars are designed for maximum traction weight and D-values.
The fatigue strength of the towbars is examined on the basis of the European directives 94/20/EG; ECE R55 or the ‘Carlos’ test procedure. An extra TÜV approval is not necessary for MVG towbars. Our towbars are also ideally suited for rear-mounted cycle carriers. MVG – electrical kits take into account the high technical and legal requirements in the automotive electronics. Using the latest technologies such Check-Control, CAN-Bus, LED and PDC, our electrical kits are vehicle-specific complete solutions renowned for their easy assembly and reduced installation times. For more than 50 years now MVG has meant quality products “Designed and made in Germany” and was the first* towbar and electrical kit manufacturer in Germany to be certified in line with ISO 9001* and ISO/TS 16949.
