Personal and anonymous data

The privacy policy comprises all information collected under personal data which allows an identification of individual users. These are primarily your name, your address and your telephone number. However, non-personal information in combination with other data can also represent personal data.

In contrast, anonymous data is information that does not permit inference to a specific person.

Security and data protection

To provide the best possible protection for your data we work with highly modern security standards. For the transfer all personal data we use the SSL security system (Secure Socket Layer) in combination with a 128-bit encryption. This technology offers a high-level security and is used, for instance, in online banking. You can tell that a transmission has been encrypted by the key and padlock icon shown in the lower status bar of your browser.

Capture of general data

When you visit the MVG website our servers will automatically register general data, such as the name of your Internet service provider, the operating system used, the date and duration of your visit etc. Personal data will not be transferred. MVG uses this anonymous information solely for statistical purposes.

Storage and accessibility of the contract text

We store the contract text and send you the order data and our general terms and conditions of business per e-mail. The General Terms and Conditions can be referred to any time HERE. Your previous orders can be seen in our Customer Login section.

Collection, processing and use of personal data

We collect, store and process your data for handling your purchase order, as well as for advertising purposes, whereby this only affects data which are not personally identifiable. These data are assessed exclusively for the purpose of improving our services and cannot be traced back to you.

Your e-mail address will only be used for our own advertising purposes in the form our newsletter until you unsubscribe the newsletter. You may cancel the subscription to the newsletter at any time.

We use the data that you have provided without your separate consent exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling and processing your order.

Disclosure of personal data

Your data will be passed on to the dispatch enterprise commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the conveyance. For processing of payments we transmit your payment information to the credit institute instructed with the payment or the payment service provider selected by you in the ordering process.

Disclosure of your data to a third party shall not take place without your express consent. Should during the transaction processing the transfer of personal data to a service provider be necessary, he shall likewise be bound by the provisions of the German Laws for Data Protection and the data protection regulations of the German Telemedia Act.

E-Mail advertising (without newsletter subscription)

If during the ordering process you have not objected to the collection of your e-mail address we will use this to send you regular information on our own products or those similar to your ordered products, as well as latest news from the subject area “tow bars”. This notice shall not have the function of consent on your part to the use of your e-mail address for advertising purposes. You can at any time object to the use of your data for advertising purposes – even if this is permitted without your consent – without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs in accordance with the basic tariffs.

Emailing of requests for evaluation

After receiving your order, we may send you an e-mail with the request to evaluate our shop. These evaluations are collected by our service provider Veristore GmbH, Jülicherstrasse 338, 52070 Aachen. By clicking on the respective evaluation link and leaving your evaluation, you agree to Veristore storing your mailing address and order code and anonymously publishing the comments you have left.

Privacy statement for the use of Google +1
