A 13-pin electrical kit with vehicle-specific plugs is pre-equipped with an interface for the auxiliary power functions and is supplied with a 13-pin socket. For 7-pin trailers, we recommend the use of 13-pin to 7-pin adapters such as the mini short adapter (MVG item no.: 515)
If the supply of electrical consumers in the trailer (e.g. a refrigerator etc. in a caravan) is to be guaranteed, a cable kit for additional power supply (e.g. MVG item no.: 505) is also required for 13-pin electrical kits
Vehicle-specific wiring kits ensure a secure connection between the towing vehicle and trailer; the installation instructions for a vehicle-specific wiring kit describe exactly the installation steps required for the respective vehicle type and thus help to minimise the installation effort.
