Protective plug and caps for MVG systems 2010,2020,2040 removable ball rod to protect the mount (sleeve) from dirt
Please specify the MVG type of the towbar when ordering!
Note: You can find the MVG type of the towbar on the type plate of your trailer hitch or in the assembly and operating instructions for your trailer hitch (example: 0580 exec. C, 2721 exec. A etc.), please not specify the MVG system (2010/2020/2040) !
Please also note the following before placing an order:
Protective plugs are only available for trailer couplings with a closed receptacle (sleeve H1). This affects the following MVG types:
- 0787 C
- 0788 A
- 0948 A
- 1515 A
- 2425 C
- 3100 C
- 3101 A
- 3116 G
- 3152 A
- 3157 A
- 3520 C
- 3521 A
- 3780 C
Furthermore, you can also tell if a protective plug is required for your trailer hitch taking this into consideration: If a protective plug is not listed in the parts list in the installation instructions, then no protective plug is required. The assembly instructions are supplied with each towbar.
All new MVG trailer hitches are equipped with the new open Hülse H2, there are no protective plugs for trailer couplings with the Hülse H2, since no protective plugs are required for these new sleeves (see operating instructions for the MVG system 2020/2040). A protective plug would be required for this innovative, newly developed Hülse H2 b> only promote the accumulation of dirt within the receptacle and thus have a rather negative effect on the locking function. Using a protective plug with the Hülse H2 would be counterproductive.< o:p="">
The sleeve H2 for accommodating the detachable towbar should be cleaned like the vehicle itself.
